Calling all motorsport fans!

I do hope there are a few of you here at least!

OK, just thought i'd give you a "heads up" about a great day out. And whats best of all, its free!

Last year, myself and the mrs went to this: http://www.worldseriesbyrenault.com/ and they are doing it again this year (7/8th June 2008)

Its a free motorsport event hosted by Renault that consists of two days of races including Renault Clio's all the way up to Formula Renault 3.5's (similar to F1 cars) as well as demos by Renault F1 drivers in last years F1 car.

Its being held at Silverstone this year so you'll also get the chance to have a look at the 60 year anniversary of F1 at the track.

As i said, its free and its a great day, not just for racing fans, but the whole family as they have funfairs and loads of other things to do.

Well worth a look!

I've had a look on their site and there isnt anything listed for '09 just yet - BUT - the Renualt World Series is a league that runs and runs, so i'd be really suprised if nothing happened. Cant be sure it'll be free again of course, but they are a good day out if you like your cars and/or motorsports.

Also, may well be worth keeping an eye out for next years Touring Cars (BTCC) as the Renault cars do support races for them too. We went to Oulton Park in July and it was a fantastic days motorsport!
