Be the Change you Want to See in the World: Energy Efficiency and Fuel Poverty Conference
2nd July 2008 – Hilton Hotel, Cardiff
Energy is high on the Community Housing Cymru agenda, evidenced through a regeneration survey that shows 70% of housing associations in Wales delivering energy efficiency projects and a conference in 2007 that highlighted the need to improve the quality and availability of information to organisations. Energy efficiency and carbon footprinting is emerging as a key theme for a CHC Convergence funding partnership proposal and energy standards are key parts of WHQS – with many hard to treat properties presenting a real challenge.
CHC jointly with the Energy Saving Trust are organising an interactive and participative conference on the 2nd July at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff that will aim to seek practical ways of raising the energy efficiency bar. From the conference we hope to establish an action plan of agreed prioritised action for Energy Saving Trust and other key players to increase support to social housing providers.
There will be a mix of sessions which includes key notes speeches from Sustainability Minister Jane Davidson AM and Eluned Morgan MEP and open space sessions where you can decide the issues to be discussed.
Booking forms are attached and for further information, please contact Rhian Robinson at Community Housing Cymru on 029 2055 7413 or via email rhian-robinson@chcymru.org.uk
We look forward to seeing you there.
