Meet Our New Asset Management Team

The following posts within the structure have now been filled: -

 Head of Asset Management – Garry O’Brien

Job Summary – to lead the Asset Management Team and be the Association’s lead technical adviser on matters associated with the condition, improvement and repair of assets, including housing stock, land, offices and other buildings

 Major Works Surveyor – Alan Edwards

Job Summary – to work closely with the Development Team to provide an efficient property surveying service for Major Works projects. This will include overseeing contractors on site to effectively deliver our programme of planned works.

 Contracts Officer – John Johnson

Job Summary – to monitor the performance of our contractors and take steps to improve standards and achieve the best value for money in quotations and works tendered.

 Asset Management Administrator – Gail Cox

Job Summary – responsible for the provision of efficient administration support within the Asset Management Team

Recruitment of three Asset Management Surveyors is currently underway, with Angela Williams and John Price currently in post on temporary contracts. These posts will be located with Housing Officers to improve cooperation and working arrangements between the teams. Two of the Asset Management Surveyors will deal with geographic patches, with the third providing cover for the other two, as well as dealing with management of service contracts, such as gardening, window cleaning etc.

The post of Compliance Officer will complete the team. This post will be responsible for overseeing regular servicing contracts, primarily for gas and electric, to ensure that we deliver efficient and effective services in line with legislation and good practice.
