Hello there, I love in Victoria Avenue in Colwyn Bay and was wondering whether you have any regeneration schemes due to come to us any time soon? New bathrooms particularly as ours needs replacing really :-) Thanks. flower

Hi Helen. Sorry for the delay in replying - there was no-one available that had the right information to give you. The bad news is that the bathroom is not due for replacement this year under our replacement programme.

With the recent restructuring of what was the Maintenance Department, we have had to do a full review of the budgets over the next few years, and the programmes for the years commencing April 2009 are being worked on at the moment, so I cannot tell you when it will be your turn for a new bathroom. The intention has been to start with our oldest properties (some of which were quite old when we bought them many years ago when the A55 was built) and gradually get round to the newer ones. The priority properties have been identified by the Stock Condition surveyors.

On a brighter note - if you are having problems because your bathroom is in poor condition and a fixture needs replacement/repair because it no longer is fit for purpose, then please contact us to ask a surveyor to visit you.
You may also decide that you don't want to wait for us to change your bathroom and you wish to do it yourselves. Please note that this must obviously be a professional job and you would be responsible for making sure that no damage is caused to the property as a result of poor fitting. If you then leave the property after making such an investment , depending on how old the bathroom is by the time you leave, you may qualify for a payment of compensation towards the original cost, less depreciation for each year of use. If you want to consider this option, please contact us first to get the necessary authorisation.

I hope that this information is useful - sorry I can not wave a fairy wand and magic a new bathroom etc. for everyone that wants one - but at the end of the day, the improvements to our properties will cost several million pounds, and that's not the sort of money that we can spend all in one year.
